Julia's Story 18

Chapter 18
By the next morning, Julia was really tired but was ready to go. They set off but it would take a long time to get where they need to go. Julia stayed silent again and Yuki sat on her lap. Leo would glance at her now and again to make sure she was alright. By the afternoon, Leo looked at the map.

"Umm Guys! I think we're going the wrong way." Leo said.

"WHAT??" Tatako shouted.

Julia looked at him and asked, "Are you sure?"

Leo said, "Huh?...Oh yeah I'm pretty sure. It looks like we're heading for Shamouti Island."

"Shamouti? Hey isn't that the place where Lugia lives?" Julia asked quietly.

Leo nodded and sighed. Julia looked out to the sea and felt a little weird. Julia thought she heard Tatako say something when she heard a voice.

_{"Julia…..Julia…."}

Julia gasped and the voice continued, _{"You must come to Shamouti Island….."}

Julia nodded and said, "Guys let's go to Shamouti Island."

They looked at her and Leo asked, "Why?"

"This is going to sound weird but something is calling me there…"

Leo nodded and said, "Ok so let's go."

Tatako nodded also and sighed. Soon Shamouti Island came into view. They landed and Leo got off Gyarados. When Julia jumped off however, she landed and felt really dizzy. Julia held her head trying to make it go away. Finally everything came to rest and she shook her head a little.

Leo walked around Gyarados and looked at Julia, "Julia you ok?"

Julia nodded slightly and called back Gyarados. Julia smiled slightly and they started walking toward the town. They walked through the town and got to the center of the town. They saw a totem pole there. Julia's head started to spin again and Julia groaned. Leo looked at Julia and went over to her. He put one of his hands behind her back to keep her up. Julia felt as all her senses were going dim and then everything started to get burry. Julia groaned once more before she blacked out.

In her Dream:
Julia groaned as she came to right in the middle of the dream. The figure was there and attacking everyone. It destroyed them and then turned to Julia. It attacked and Julia covered her face with her hands. But nothing happened. Julia removed her hands and saw that everything had stopped.

"You are here." Said a voice.

Julia looked around before saying, "Who's there? Show yourself!"

"There is no need to be afraid….but maybe it would be best to meet face to face."

Then a light appeared and started to grow. It surrounded the darkness and now Julia was standing in a room full of light. Julia looked around and sighed.

"So are you going to tell me why you wanted me to come?"

"Yes but first let me introduce myself."

A figure started to appear in front of Julia and Julia let out a small gasp when she saw who it was.

The figure raised its head and said, "I am Lugia."

"Lugia….." Julia said but her voice was so quiet Lugia probably barely heard her.

Lugia smiled slightly and said, "I know you've seen before but never this close up. I can understand you being screech less."

Julia snapped out of it and asked, "Lugia why have you brought me here?"

Lugia sighed and asked, "You have been having nightmares about a dark figure yes?"

Julia nodded slightly and Lugia said, "I was afraid of that. You see Julia that figure you saw was Shadow Lugia."

Julia looked surprised and asked, "WHAT??"

"Allow me to explain. You see a while ago, a group called Team Rocket came to Shamouti Island. They started to attack the three legendary birds to draw me out. Once they did that they caught me and took me away. Then they used some kind of device on me to draw out my darker side. So Shadow Lugia came out." Lugia said sadly.

Julia sighed and asked, "So what do you want me to do?"

Lugia looked at her and said, "I need you to free me from Team Rocket. When that happens I will help you defeat Team Rocket once and for all."

"But aren't Legendary Pokémon super powerful so how am I suppose to stop you?"

Lugia smiled and said, "Did you know that your father helped me a long time ago? Your father was also worried that he would not be able to save the world but with the help of his friends he was able to."

"So what you're saying is that if I have my friends help me then I should be able to stop you?" Julia asked.

Lugia nodded and Julia sighed hanging her head. Julia started to think that even with her friends help she might not be able to stop Lugia. Lugia sensed this and smiled slightly. Lugia put one of his wings around Julia.

"Don't worry Julia. I'm sure that you will be able to stop me….but I will give you something that will protect you from the darkness no matter what form it will take." Lugia said.

Lugia held his other wing in front of Julia and a light orb was sitting there. Julia gasped slightly and carefully took the orb in her hands. The orb glowed in her hand and it started to get really bright.

The last thing Julia heard was Lugia saying, "Until we meet again. Good Luck."

Julia's eyes slowly opened and she groaned slightly. Then Julia noticed to she was lying on a soft white bed.

"Hey she's awake!" She heard Leo say.

Julia looked to her right side and saw Leo and Tatako sitting nearby.

"Are you ok?" Tatako asked walking over to her bed.

Julia sighed and said, "Yeah I think so."

Leo walked up to her bed and said, "We were worried about you. You passed out so we brought you here."

Julia slowly sat up and asked, "Where is here?"

"Well a girl named Melody found us shortly after you passed out and brought us to her house so you could rest." Tatako explained.

Julia thought and said, "Guys we have a problem."

Leo and Tatako looked at her as she explained what Lugia had told her.

"Shadow Lugia? No way!" Leo said.

"It's true…..it was the figure that had been in my dreams for some time now." Julia said sadly.

Then there was a knock on the door before it opened. A girl wearing a white dress with an orange trim walked into the room.

"That's Melody." Tatako said.

Melody smiled and walking over to Julia, "Are you alright?"

Julia nodded and said, "I'm feeling a little better."

"Good come on. You should get something to eat." Melody said walking away.

Julia started to get out of bed when something gently fell to the floor. Julia looked down and picked it up. It was a silver feather as big as a Skarmory feather but it was soft and perfect.

"Guys look at this." Julia said.

Leo, Tatako, and Melody turned and saw the feather in Julia's hands.

Melody gasped and went over to Julia, "That's one of Lugia's Feather. That feather is rare and it is said that Lugia must see that you a worthy to have it."

Tatako walked over, took the feather, looked at it, and gave it back.

She said quietly, "Lucky."

Julia looked back at the feather in her hands. 'Was this feather the thing Lugia said he'd give me to protect me?' Julia thought.

Julia looked back at everyone and said, "Anyone have any string?"

Melody left the room and came back a moment later with a silver string in her hands. Melody handed the string to Julia who tied it around the end of the feather. Then she pulled the feather over her neck. Julia smiled as she saw to feather glow slightly. Everyone went to eat and Melody let them stay at her house. That night Julia was wide awake thinking about everything that had happened.

"Man I can't sleep." Julia said sitting up in bed.

Yuki sighed as Julia laid back down. Then Julia heard something coming from the other side of the door. It was music and it was very calming. Julia sighed sleepily as she listened to the music. Yuki yawned and laid down sleepily. Julia's eyes started to close and soon she fell asleep. The music stopped and the door opened. Melody looked at the sleeping Julia and smiled. She quietly closed the door and walked away.

The next day Julia woke up felling rested. Julia sat up and stretched a little. Yuki woke up a moment later and they got out of bed. Yuki jumped onto Julia's shoulder and Julia left the room. Then she heard the same music she had heard last night. She went outside following the music. Then Julia saw Melody sitting up against a tree playing on something. Julia walked over to Melody as the song finished.

"That's a pretty song." Julia said.

Melody looked up to Julia and said, "Yeah it is."

Julia sat down and said, "I'm guessing that's the song that put me to sleep last night."

"Yeah I thought it would help since it's a calming song……You know the song is called Lugia's Song." Melody explained.

Julia looked at her and asked, "Really?......Do you think you could teach it to me?"

Melody smiled and nodded. Melody started to teach Julia Lugia's Song. Melody would go verse by verse until Julia got it. By the night came she only knew half of the song. Julia still needed rest so they stayed there one more night. The next day Melody taught Julia the rest of the Song.

Then Julia played the whole thing for Melody. It still needed some work but she knew the verses. It was late in the afternoon when they decided to leave.
"Thank you for everything." Leo told Melody.

"No problem. Oh by the way Julia I got this for you." Melody said hold out what looked like a sack.

It had a native design on it and a strap that went over the shoulder. Julia smiled, took the sack, and put it on. Then they were off and Julia reached into the sack. Julia pulled out an ocarina and smiled. Then she started to play the Lugia's Song.    

When the song finished Tatako said, "That was nice."

Julia smiled and said, "So where are we going next?"

Tatako said, "If you guys don't mind I thought we could go to my home island."

Julia and Leo nodded and they set off for Kumquat Island. Once they got there they saw that there were a lot of deluxe suites. Tatako led them to one of the hotels on the island.

"This is the Gym." Tatako pointed out.

"Ummmm Tatako that's a hotel." Julia said.

"I know but the Gym is inside the hotel." Tatako explained.

Julia nodded and they were about to go in when a person stopped them. Well Pokémon is the better word for it.

"Mewtwo? How are you?" Julia asked smiling.

Mewtwo smiled slightly and said, "I'm good but I have some news to tell you….Is she ok?"

Julia looked at Tatako who was starring at Mewtwo. Then Tatako smiled brightly, sat down, pulled out her pad, and started to draw Mewtwo. Mewtwo looked confused and looked at Julia.

Julia laughed slightly and said, "Don't worry Mewtwo that's normal for her."

Mewtwo just smiled and moments later Tatako stood back up.

Tatako put her pad away and said, "Sorry about that."

Julia shook her head and asked, "So Mewtwo what did you want to tell me?"

Mewtwo's smile disappeared and he sighed. Julia looked at him worried. She knew that when Mewtwo acted like this it was never good news.

Mewtwo sighed once again and said, "Your family was attacked by Team Rocket."

Julia looked surprised and yelled, "WHAT???"

Leo asked, "What happened?"

"They're not too sure but Team Rocket just came and attacked them."

"Are they ok? Are they hurt?" Julia asked.

"Don't worry your family is alright. Their Pokémon helped them fend off Team Rocket." Mewtwo said.

Julia sighed in relief but then she started to wonder something.

"Julia you have to be careful. Your father thinks that Team Rocket is coming after you." Mewtwo explained.

"Why Julia?" Leo asked.

Mewtwo was about to answer when there was an explosion happened nearby. They looked towards the explosion.

"Team Rocket!" Julia shouted.

Team Rocket Leader Archer walked up towards them. He smiled and then started laughing.

"Well this is a surprise. Julia and Mewtwo at the same place. It must be my lucky day." He said before he whistled.

Two Ursaring came up but something was wrong about them. They looked like they were in rage and they also had black collars around their necks. The Ursaring's fire Hyper Beams at them. Everyone jumped out of the way and Mewtwo used his psychic powers. It hit the Ursaring's but they attacked again hitting Mewtwo head on.

"Mewtwo! Alright Charizard let's help Mewtwo." Julia shouted throwing her Pokeball.

Charizard came out and Julia shouted, "Use Fire Spin."

Charizard's attack missed and the Ursaring's ganged up on Charizard. Acting quickly Tatako called out her Ambipom and Leo called out his Sceptile. Ambipom used Double Hit and Sceptile used Energy Ball to knock the Ursaring's away. One of the Ursaring stood up and fired a Hyper Beam at Julia and her friends. Julia put up an Aura dome up to protect her friends but the attack was strong. It pushed Julia back a little but the dome was still up. The Pokémon tried to attack but the other Ursaring knocked them away.

Then that Ursaring used Hyper Beam on the dome as well causing Julia to get pushed back again. Julia was having trouble keeping the dome up but she knew she had to protect her friends. Then something happened, something that had never happened before. The Hyper Beams hitting the dome suddenly started to glow a light blue color. Julia was glowing the same color and the attacks reversed themselves at their owners. The Ursaring's looked surprised as they were hit with their own attacks.

Archer looked surprised also and looked at Julia. The dome was down but Julia was still glowing a light blue color.

"Well what do you know?" Archer said quietly.

Archer told the Ursaring to get up and then they left. Julia finally stopped glowing and fell go the ground. Leo ran to her side and shook her gently. Julia came to and shook her head. Leo helped Julia to her feet and looked around.

"Where did Team Rocket go?" Leo asked.

"Let's not worry about now." Julia said weakly.

Mewtwo had disappeared as well and Leo helped Julia inside. Tatako went to explain to her half sister what was going on as Leo helped Julia lay down.

"Just rest Julia. You should be fine." Leo said.

"Thanks Leo." Julia said before she fell asleep.

Yuki laid down nearby and looked concerned. Leo bent down and petted Yuki who smiled happily. Later that night Julia woke up. She looked around the room and all her friends were still asleep.  Yuki was waiting by the door of the room and Julia quietly got out of bed. She got her backpack and left the room. Julia came to a halt as she saw Sceptile outside the door. Julia sighed quietly as she saw Sceptile was asleep. Yuki and Julia exited the hotel quietly. Moments after they left Sceptile opened his eyes and he stood up.

Outside Julia called out her Charizard who was surprised that Julia was out there alone.

"Charizard Leo and Tatako aren't coming with us." Julia said.

Charizard looked surprised and Yuki nodded.

"We don't have a choice. Today we were attacked by Team Rocket and…..I almost couldn't protect them. I don't want anything to happen to them." Julia said sadly.

Charizard thought for a moment and then looked at Julia. Charizard roared quietly asking a question.

"Charizard we're going to train until we can beat Team Rocket. Once we do we'll come back and finish the Orange Island League." Julia explained.

Charizard nodded and Yuki jumped on to his back. Julia sighed quietly and started to climb on Charizard.

"Are you going to leave without saying good bye?" asked a voice from behind.

Julia knew that voice when she heard but she still turned around. Julia saw Leo standing there looking at her.

Julia sighed and said, "I thought you were asleep."

"Sceptile came and woke me up. You should have known that about Sceptile's senses." Leo said.

Julia sighed again and climb off of Charizard. Julia turned to fully face Leo and walked forward a little.

"Leo I—" Julia started but was cut off.

"Julia don't. I already know what you're going to say and you're wrong." Leo said.

"You don't understand Leo…..I have a feeling Team Rocket won't stop here. You'll both be safer if I go." Julia explained.

Leo shook his head and said, "Julia do you remember what Mewtwo had said? Mewtwo said that you would need your friends to stop Team Rocket. Lugia said the same so you'll need our help. Julia you shouldn't try to do everything by yourself. We're here and we'll help whenever we can."

Julia was silent before she looked away, "But….Leo…..I…I just…"

Leo looked at her and he saw some tears rolling down her face.

Julia said sadly, "I don't want to see you get hurt."

Leo looked surprised and sighed slightly. Then Leo walked over, wrapped his arms around Julia, and held her tight.

"Julia don't worry yourself so much about us. We'll help you defeat Team Rocket and no matter what happens I'll be here." Leo said smiling slightly.

Julia's tears came harder and fast. Julia buried her face in Leo's chest as she cried. Leo held her giving her the comfort that she needed at the moment. Charizard and Yuki just smiled and hoped that Julia would be ok. Soon Julia began to calm down Leo still held her. Julia felt a blush come onto her cheeks but she wasn't sure why.
